Favorite amusement park ride/attraction/activity?
I love roller coasters, but my favorite ride is the tilt-a-whirl (or teacups at Disney). Nothing like spinning yourself into a giggly stupor with a bunch of strangers. (and this is alcohol/drug free - well, usually) :D

1. Top Gun at Great America in Santa Clara
You wait in a longer line for the front seat, but that's OK. You kick off your shoes and socks and sit with legs dangling freely...the coaster track is above you. When you get to the highest point on the ride, and you're about to fly down through 2 loops at 60 MPH you re-discover God. It seems that everyone on it does. They sure call out his name alot!

The whole ride lasts 45 seconds (once your at the top). I would stand in line for 45 minutes for those 45 seconds...:bounce:

3. I used to like spinning rides
At Lakeside park in Denver, they have a ride that spins horizontally almost exactly like a G-Force machine that astronauts use. The operator thought it would be funny to give us some bonus time because nobody else was in line. After about 5 minutes we were all screaming for her to stop the ride, she left us on for at least 5 more minutes.. After it was over, two of my friends lost their lunches and I was sick for a few hours. It was horrible.

Lakeside is also the home of my favorite classic wooden coaster the Cyclone, built in the 40's. If you go late at night you can ride free as many times as you want, for some reason they don't check for tickets. They also have a really fun "wild mouse" type coaster.

Wooden coasters are my favorite, but I also love a good steel coaster.

5. Rollercoasters - the faster, higher, loopier the better
Some youth gruop kids and I discovered one fine summer day, after HOURS of experimentation, that the back seat of the American Eagle at Great America in Chicago is the best seat on any coaster there. it dodesn't loop, but it's a wooden rollercoaster, and the ride is FAST and in the back seat, REALLY rough.

8. I don't like the wooden roller coasters-
the ride is rough and bone-jarring- give me the metal tube coasters every time.
My two favourite kinds of coasters are the stand-up type,(Iron Wolf at 6Flags Gurnee) and the hanging type(Batman, the ride 6Flags Gurnee).
I didn't get to the park last year, and because of my spinal ailment, I don't know if I'll be riding anymore anyway...but I'd love to try the "Superman Ultimate Flight" roller coaster they installed at 6Flags last year- you ride it suspended in a "flying" position...
Who's been on it?
was it wonderful?

10. The "Steamin' Demon"
at The Great Escape in Lake George, New York. It's one of those high-tech roller coasters, with loops, where they really strap you in. One time, when I was there, I went on the damn thing seven times! Another time I made my mother go on it with me. She was not amused, LOL!:D

they had one ride for a while, I forget the name (King Cobra?) a combination enclosed water-slide/thrill ride. You hope in at the top and go down the tubes in total darkness, zig-zagging all over the place. It was actually kinda .. erotic, what with the sun-heated tubes and all.

18. I'm familiar with the log flume. I forget the official name.
Where you ride in these log-shaped boats and go down chutes, but I don't remember darkness. I could be mistaken, since it's been quite awhile since I've been there.

There's also the Raging River, which is kind of like riding the rapids, and you can't help getting wet.

BTW, I worked there summers while I was still in school. I was Cinderella and drove the purple train that went through the jungle, LOL!:D
