My best friend at work was fired
It wasn't the right job for him, and I understand why it happened, but it still...sucks. MY job is not in any particular danger -- I just got a good review and a raise -- but it's not going to be the same. I feel like mourning a bit. Sad when this happens, isn't it?

1. Yes, it is.
I have had that happen before. Or just had my best coworker quit and things were never the same at that job again !

2. Yes it is, I had my best coworker get laid off and it was all downhill
from there.

3. I will never forget leaving one job I had
I left little Texaco (owner operated) to go to work for big Texaco (corporate operated). I had given six weeks notice and my last day was to be on December 31st.

On the night of my last work day, my coworkers and I all gathered and had a toast ( a combo new years eve, goodbye toast) and one of my best friend/coworkers toasted: "Nothing will ever be the same".

It never was.

Within six months not a single one of the employees from little Texaco even worked there, and although I loved big Texaco, it was never as good as little Texaco. And being the boss, I couldnt ever make the same kinds of friendships with my co-workers.
