sometimes being blatant racists and chauvinists. Other times, using code words..."urban youth", "inner city", and "welfare Moms." Their buddies know who they mean, even if the facts don't support their hate spewing. The Nazis used scapegoats to explain how the mighty Aryans had been defeated in WWI and how Germany's economy was destroyed. Conservatives blame minorities and the women's movement. "They" are corrupting our youth. "They" are taking all the jobs. "They" are getting into the Ivy League ahead of my kid. "They" are not doing their jobs as homemakers. "They" are getting all the entitlements and government money. It's not factual; it's just hate and an explanation for personal dissatisfaction.
