1. two movies: jaws and star wars
but I still think there's "cinema" out there (in Eng. language films). Are you a fan of Jim Jarmusch? I love the movie, Dead Man, sooo much. Capote was great, imo. The Coen Brothers... The Secret of Roan Inish is my favorite Sayles movie...

the problem is that there is no easy public outlet for non-blockbuster movies in too many places. - or it's so expensive and aggravating to go to a movie, or try to if it's in the theater for one week, you might as well watch it at home.
