Project Runway Shocker
By Joal Ryan
Mon Apr 7, 7:33 AM PDT

No one said the fashion world was boring.

In a major TV shakeup, Project Runway will say auf Wiedersehen to Bravo and jump to cable rival Lifetime, it was announced Monday.

NBC Universal, which owns Bravo, responded swiftly to the defection with a lawsuit, according to Lifetime and the Weinstein Co., which produces Project Runway. The suit was noted, if buried, in the two companies' joint press release trumpeting the programming coup.

1. That's terrible.
I like my pseudo-fancy reality shows on one channel.

And I can't believe Tim Gunn would be seen on Lifetime.

2. They're gonna ruin it
They'll chase out the "gay", make it less interesting, and then I'll have to slit my wrists.

4. I don't think they will chase out the "gay"
After all, they have that show w/ Carson from Queer Eye, and that's LOADED w/ gay.

13. I don't think Lifetime Channel for Women and Gay Men would do that
That's what one of my gay friends calls the Lifetime channel - he watches it all the time

17. Yeah, but before
if I didn't bother to change the channel, I could at least watch a top chef rerun for the 10th time. Now I'm afraid I'll have to watch a Meredith Baxter movie about vaginal polio.

14. Why don't they just move all those shows to "The Reality Channel"
and then not carry The Reality Channel?

20. Oh God. Not Lifetime.
That network has got to be the biggest waste of broadcast space ever. Let me guess -- will the models now have to portray Women In Jep as they walk down the runway, and will all the men now have to be unapologetic, mysogynist assholes?

Good luck to Bravo and Universal with the suit.
