I just bought some handmade Italian suede shoes.
Ask me anything.

(And yes, I am gloating. Just a little bit.)

3. By knowing the difference between good Brunello and bad Brunello?
By being able to drive in Milan during rush hour without dying? (I actually did this myself once, and came a bit closer to death than I ever wanted to be. In a Fiat, no less.)

5. One of these days I'll get to Italy...
Maybe in my next life.

6. It's a great place to go.
I did my most excellent illegal driving maneuver ever in Milan, during the aforementioned rush hour chaos. Got onto a roundabout a the junction of two very busy streets and several smaller ones. Manged to exit the roundabout onto a one-way street in the wrong direction... in front of a police officer. I now had two choices. I could either drive the wrong way down the one-way street (certain doom) or... reverse back into the busy roundabout and go around again to get the exit I wanted.

I did the latter. The police officer had the most classic "stupid bloody tourists" look on his face that I've ever seen.
