2. Very deep southern accents
where the speaker hardly opens his/her mouth and pronounces all words together in a slurry fashion. Sort of like Boomhauer on King of the Hill.

7. I lived in Switzerland back in the 1980s for a few months...
One Swiss told me Americans tended to sprechen im bart (speak into the beard). I believe she was referring to your statement of "hardly opens his/her mouth and pronounces all words together in a slurry fashion."

As in understanding the words then some Californian stuff is just way out there

11. I've never heard an American voice I had difficulty understanding.
There are some accents in the north of England I find difficult though.
