This is going to be the most controversial thread at DU ever!

Them damn Canadians are practicing economic warfare on our country, and it all started with the introduction of Tim Hortons into our economy. You think that's just an innocent little coffee and donut shop, eh? Wrong! That is the instrument through which Canada will take over our country and run it through a proxy government in D.C. Most Americans will be caught unaware until we have universal health care. Then you all will wish you had listened to me.

If not, then this might not be the most controversial thread ever

8. I agree
I don't usually drink coffee at all, but once a week I find myself getting a large coffee and a couple of donuts at Tim Hortons. I'm telling you, they are evil.

15. If that was the plan
than obviously that means they have some influence in the Republican party. Which would allow them to take over once the dems leave and can no longer vote here.

Jesus... that's even more sinister than I thought.

Is what you say about society.

Catch the donut, catch the fish.

16. Canadian resources can keep this soup and bread line
well-stocked for a long time - it's a good thing too. This is where American elite will go to "eat out" after their public humiliation and confiscation of non-EARNED income, bonuses and options.
(when pigs fly) - Bye-bye Ruth Chris.

Personally, I welcome our Hockey Overlords.

22. I'm ready for it.
I remember taking one of those cute little quizzes that asked you how Canadian you are. This native-born Texan scored 100% Canadian. I blame SCTV's Bob and Doug McKenzie and being married to a Canadian (until recently) for 8 years :P

The store locater lists 10 states, mostly NE. No problem, I prefer tea.

I have to pass it on the way to work every day. If you like stronger, full bodied coffee, you will like Tim Horton's.

26. It all started...
...when those traitors at McDonalds started putting back bacon on Egg McMuffins back in '72.

See, you're average Candian is sneaky and sees the big picture. He doesn't care how long it takes.

He only cares about the ultimate goal of putting Elizabeth on our 20 dollar bill, increasing our football fields by 3,354 sqare yards, and mandating all TV broadcasts in French on the SAP channel.
