19. At most tracks only the National Anthem

sung by a local, a short prayer and maybe a moment of silence for drivers that were killed. This is Daytona, the big race of the season and they always put on a show. Since the big corporations took over the sport its become more like a circus.

As the National Anthem ends the crowds traditionally starts screaming because the race is about to start and has nothing to do with patriotism.
