Guess who I was on the elevator with last night?

Senator John Edwards.

I had just finished serving an order and got on the elevator. I'm told we're going to have to make a stop at the top because Senator Edwards was at the pool with his children.

When they got on the elevator I was introduced to him. He held out his hand for me to shake but I declined. (I swear it was nothing against the man...I had ice cream on my hand from the bottom of the tray! I explained to him that I had ice cream and he said it wouldn't bother him but I figured the hotel might frown on it and there was a manager on the elevator, too.)
