Just watched extended version of Two Towers and all the DVD extras
Here are my thoughts:

The extended version is way better than the theatrical version. I liked The Two Towers when I saw it in the theaters, but it was lacking in many respects. The extra scenes in the extended version help fill in the story, and you get a better idea as to who is who, what is what, and where is where. The theatrical version seemed just like one long march to the battle--the timing of the extended was better.

As for the extras, after seeing them I really, really, really don't think I would like Viggo Mortensen in person. The guy is so damn intense. I guess they appreciated it because he was always in character, and worked hard at the fight scenes, but as far as being able to crack a joke, show an interest in other people, I think he's too into himself and his "art."

Most of the extras are very interesting--the DVD is worth it just to watch all the animation and special effects being created and laid down.

1. I love Viggo because of the t-shirt he wore on Charlie Rose
before the war -- "No Blood for Oil" . I thought it was rather gutsy to where that when you have an new movie coming out.

2. Yeah, I feel I would agree with him on a lot of stuff, but I guess I mean
I would not be able to have a conversation with him. Don't htink he'd go out of his way to start on, and I would have to pull thoughts and words out of him like pulling teeth.

4. If you geta chace, watch the DVD extras, and you'll see what I mean..
...way too much of an artitse. I mean, I can respect him and all,a nd appreciate his talent and his commitment to causes, but watch the DVD and see if you ever sat down with him if you think there would be several minutes of dead silence!
