I serve a small, progressive UCC congregation in north central Illinois.

3. My dad is a Disciples of Christ minister

I remember many a Saturday night. He would be coalescing his thoughts on the events of the week - very political, my dad - and finding a way to link it to scripture. He loves the story aspect and is very good at finding the metaphor for current dilemmas. He no longer has a congregation but is very active in Progressive Christians Uniting in Los Angeles. An inspiration to me.
