I was just walking outside when I noticed a perfect configuration of puupy poop. It formed a cross. Should I be concerned? Is it a sign? Can I toss it out?--or should I phone the Vatican?

can still change the thread header? It's inflammatory, offensive, and INCORRECT, though your post itself is not. If the header read "Is This an Omen?" or "Found an Omen Outside," it would arouse curiosity without offending.

The header is incorrect because what you describe is a cross, NOT a crucifix, made of puppy poop. A crucifix must have a Corpus (crucified body of Christ) on a cross.

Since this is a plain cross, if you believe it is an omen, you should report it to the Southern Baptist Convention, not the Vatican.

13. Oh, I know the difference ...

... between a cross and a crucifix. Hell, I was an altar boy. But when I wrote about the feces in question I meant to distinguish it from all other common crosses: Red Cross, Iron Cross, etc.

But of course you're right. A proper crucifix does display the body of Christ, and I stand corrected ... unless, that is, I can go to the freezer, pull it out, and discern an image of the Lord on the sculpture.
