I just thought I'd share, because in terms of progress as a species, this is pretty much the coolest thing since the moon landing. Trust me, of you'd tried any other vegan cheese, you'd understand why this is a big deal.

This is the stuff: http://chicagosoydairy.com/product.php?id=8 It's still in the pre-release testing phase, apparently there are more flavors coming.

1. If cheese is so evil, why do vegans want something just like it?

You vegans and your analogues. Seems almost...hypocritical to me.

2. I just want my greasy goodness without the rape and veal.
Is that too much to ask, Hitler?!?!

4. They're just cows.
You know, God's answer to "Where's my all you can eat roast beef?" at the Sizzlah.

Like rape racks are so bad. And veal? They're just babies. What do THOSE calf-folk know.

6. Oh shit, I forgot to tell you the bad news.
The vegetarian chinese grocery went belly-up. There won't be a second vegan turducken. We need a new path to vegan blogosphere fame (and by we I mean me, 'cause nobody mentioned you, and you have a pic in the photo spread and I don't, even.)

7. "vegan blogosphere fame"
I'm good. Don't want it, don't need it, glad nobody mentioned me.

The original, first vegan turducken is good with me. I'll take imitation as it's the highest form of flattery. Or something.

3. Your link is funny.
"Teese is melting!!!"

OMG!

Just the glee emanating from that bolded sentence, clearly this is a BIG deal!

5. If you'd ever tried to cook with the currently available vegan cheese, you'd get it.
Seriously, the only way to get it to melt is to put it on the very top of a pizza, in very small shreds, stick it straight under the broiler, and hope it melts before anything else catches fire. And that's the "good" stuff.

So this is a huge improvement. It melts, and it actually tastes like cheese.
