Sorry to bother but what do you call the list of keystrokes to make this kind of zero: Ø?

There are a lot of them: Ö Õ $ Û and I used to have a link to a list of them all with the keyguide in my old computer that crashed terminally last year. For the life of me I can't remember what they are called. I would like to put another link to them in my favorites because I use some of them occasionally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. i only know them in html, but here is the link

for example to make Ø then i type the symbol & then i type the capital letter O then i write out the word "slash" and i run all of these together to make one word

if i do this here, you can't see how i did it, the Ø just appears on the page

but imagine if i ran together "& O slash"

this is called the "character entity reference"

3. In Windows

go to Program Files, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map. Click on any symbol and in the bottom right it will show what combination of Alt and numbers will give you that character
Alt 0214=Ö
Alt 0213=Õ
Alt 0219=Û
Alt 0216=Ø
