My husband just won a Hawaiian vacation from a local radio station!

The "smooth jazz" station in the Seattle area gives away vacations. After listening for eleven years, they called my husband's name a couple of hours ago. The sweet "back story" -- another listener who doesn't know us heard my husband's name, has access to telephone numbers at her work, and called us to let us know we'd better call the station so he could claim his prize. What a sweetheart she is! :woohoo:

We're being treated to five days and four nights in the Four Seasons on Maui. To say that I am absolutely astonished is an understatement. We have a year to take the actual vacation, so we'll be talking later about when...

I once stayed at the Four Seasons Maui - it's AMAZING!!!!

They have spritzer-boys by the pool! They come by and spray you with aerosol Evian.

12. DH called her to thank her this afternoon

He wanted to at least buy her a drink; she said to do something nice for someone else instead. (I'm pretty sure he's sending her something anyway!) The radio announcer said that this isn't the first time in the history of this station that a complete stranger called someone else whose name had been announced to say "Hey, they called your name to win the vacation, call the radio station."

We are both still just shocked!

I had friends who stayed at that hotel on their second honeymoon and they raved about it. They said that the Fountain Pool was amazing. Don't forget to book a massage by the Fountain Pool.

This is our favorite resort in Hawaii and is the one my boyfriend and I always stay at. It's been a while since I've been. We passed last year and instead went to Capri for my birthday, and this year we settled on France for the summer. I'm so excited for you!

You're going to absolutely love it! Though, it is quite expensive- lunch for two with a few drinks can cost around $75-$100 at the resort. If price is an isssue, I'd recommend at least one meal at Spago- very pricey but well worth the cost and is an experience.
