Help me remember the name of a jazz album which has the
artist on the cover with his finger over his lips in the classic "be quiet, shuss" position.

4. Miles, I'm sure. Is it NEFERTITI?
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 04:26 PM by WritingIsMyReligion
I think so.

On Edit: Not Nefertiti, but I KNOW the fucking album you're on about. Rahhh. Give me a minute and I'll find it for sure.

6. Gahhh, maybe that's what I'm thinking of.
I thought it was TUTU, as well, but that's just his face, without the "shhhhhh" part.

HOW does he have so many albums featuring his face?

:P

9. What's that quote? "Why'd you put that white bitch on there?"
To Avakian, of course, after seeing what Columbia had planned as the cover for Miles Ahead.

12. I heard Don Cheadle's making a movie about him.
He's going to portray him and direct it, too.

13. Yeah, I heard the same.
Will be interesting, in the least. Miles would make a very interesting person to portray.

11. It MIGHT be on an album, but I don't think so.
It usually stands alone just as an interesting portrait of Miles.

No problem. :)

15. The only one that comes to mind is Dexter Gordon:

Not really a "shuss", but close.

It's an excellent album, by the way. If you can't find the one you're looking for, Dexter really delivers on this album. Get it anyway.
