Damned good stuff. Mighty fine.

A real pity it cost me almost five bucks for one bar...

1. That's a bit more bitter than I prefer.

I like 65% to 75% dark. :9

I'm sorry it's so expensive. :(
But really good chocolate is definitely worth it.

2. Does it have cocoa bits too?
That's some strong chocolate. Can't eat that too close to bed time or I can't sleep.

6. I shop at Whole Foods
and yes, I know a lot of people diss them because their prices are high. Quality does sometimes come with a higher pricetag. I don't buy all of my food from there, just most of it, such as high-quality chocolates :)

That said, I have been re-introduced to high-cocoa chocolate like the 86% you bought. I haven't gone above 85%, but was amazed that the two brands I've had were more than just palatable, but downright delicious. I can't remember the one my sister gifted to me at Xmas, but I did buy a bar of Vivani recently and will certainly be back for more! :D

It's organic, too, and cost less than three dollars, at Whole Foods, no less!

...looked on the site; here's the bar I bought: Organic Dark Chocolate (100 g) – 85 % cocoa (minimum)...

7. the Easter candy I got at Whole Foods for my son was AMAZING
I was astonished at the taste - highly complex, rich flavors.

:wow:

8. They do have some good brands and variety that you won't get anywhere else.
I found a ricemilk chocolate there that is also delicious. I try to avoid dairy-milk chocolate when I can, partly because the manufactures of it tend to "water down" the amount of milk in it. A good quality milk chocolate I've had, though, is a French brand, Valrhona. Although I ordered the King Arthur Flour brand milk choco in bulk last Xmas for making truffles and it was very tasty, too :)

For what you get and for the variety, I think you'll find that WF has a better choice and a better price, once you're done shopping all over and back again ;)

What was the Easter candy you bought, by the way? I don't buy that kind of thing normally, so I'm curious what WF would have offered that way...

10. Try making a milkshake with pure cocoa (about a tbsp), milk and
some sugar twin. Really good but you have to drink it fast because the cocoa tends to float to the top. I have it all the time. Sometimes it is "dinner".

11. Why do so many people love chocolate?
Seriously, I've always wondered. I think it tastes yucky. :)
