Prepared correctly, fugu contains just enough neurotoxin to give the eater a nice buzz (sort of like nicotine). The real skill of the fugu chef lies not in removing all the toxin, but rather in leaving just enough to create the sensation without killing the diner. It's a pretty fine line, which is why I only ate fugu at places that had a cast-iron reputation for preparing it well.

It's never a good idea to order "seconds," either.

I would not eat it out of fear of death. Having to hear my family have to explain I died eating fish would be funny and odd.

Is like eating botulinum toxin..possible in small doses but what's the point? personally I think its nuts....
