May God bless and keep you always, may your wishes all come true,
Bob Dylan - Forever Young (live)

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

1. Thanx, Ptah.
Beautiful sentiment and I know who you are directing that wish towards. I hope he can maintain his youth with a little wisdom after all of this.

We watched The Last Waltz again a couple of years ago and that song made me cry, if only because I was watching all of those wonderful musicians I so love when they themselves were young and from a time when I was, as well. Mourning for our collective youth, I guess.

(Psst...Seriously, quit cutting your hair, dude! ;) )

2. It's more general than that.
I am happy that my children know that song.

And I hope my friends will stay forever young.

I get tired of the long hair.

I'm too busy to be bothered with that distraction.

"The Last Waltz" is my co-favorite with "Woodstock"

4. "The Last Waltz" was the very first DVD I ever bought when we first
got a DVD player; I bought it for Hubby's birthday and we watch it a lot.

Great sentiment for a Good Friday!

8. What a neat picture!!
I am a relatively young Gran my ownself; I was 36 when my granddaughter was born and 37 when my grandson was born, so I could easily be their mom instead of Grandma -

Thanks for sharing the picture!

9. That picture was taken in 1951.
I could look up the ages of all in that picture,
but I won't.

I;m glad you enjoy the picture.
