1. I am reading Duma Key, and I'm confused
Nothing terrifying has happened and I'm up to page 80 or so. Isn't it supposed to be a scary book?

8. Really? It's good? I've bought and read the past few King books out of courtesy.

That Cell phone thing was like sucking sweaty balls. And I love King...my gawd I've been in awe of him since jr high school. But I have been achingly disappointed of late.

12. Cell was promising starting out. But it was like he lost focus about half way through.
King, at his best, is untouchable by any living writer. But he is responsible for some really, really bad prose too.

17. Yep, exactly - an amazing storyteller. With the ability to subtly express
moral, ethical, or political concepts without being preachy. I think even Dickens would be envious of this talent.

I'm reading it now. I'm about 2/3 through...maybe a little more and I'm fascinated by it. The way he feeds me just a little bit at a time and keeps me hanging. Not a piece at a time, but a piece of a side of a piece at a time. I feel like a fish on a line. But don't tell me any more. I shouldn't even have opened this thread. Oh, geeeze...now I wanna get home and read. x(

18. I so did not want it to end and might start reading it
all over again in a couple months. Just finished it a couple weeks ago. Can't say much else if you have a 100 pages yet to go though.
