The dog wars in my house.

I have 2 Labradoodles. Tinker is 4 and Shelta is 1 1/2. Tinker is a princess, very prissy and sensitive and definately the Alpha Dog. Shelta is a gangster, nothing prissy about her.

I give them each a rawhide bone and that's when the war begins. It's very subtle. Tinker somehow manages to get both bones and sits on my bed and guards them. She doesn't eat them, she guards them. Shelta is still too young to confront Tinker so she comes and whines to me. I go and get one of the bones away from Tinker and give it back to Shelta. Minutes later, Shelta gets both bones and begins to guard them. Tinker does not whine to me, she goes to the window and begins wildly barking. She uses her "there's an animal out there" bark and before you know it, Shelta has left the bones unguarded and gone to the window. Tinker waits for this and recaptures both bones. This can go on all day!:)
