Am going on a road trip tomorrow, and got news today am willifully ignoring thanks to the wine

I knew I was on a temporary contract for teaching, and met with the ass't superintendent today: He wants to keep me on, but with a new principal coming on board, I could be edged out for new hire...so my contract ends with the school year. But, if am pffered another position, he wants to know, and he promises to tweak a few people to keep me.

Am still going after other positions as the open up, was they do this time of year, but am numb about the news as I prepare for leaving for 8 days to see friends in both northern and southern AZ.

5. Road trips are ABSOLUTELY the best medicine!!!

I took my daughter to Philly for college 2 summers ago, and spent the next 6 weeks driving back home to California...what a great way to remember that there is an whole other life out there!
