3. Recent rentals: Lost in Translation, American Splendor and Curb
Your Enthusiasm (year 1) are out on DVD. Amer Splen will especially relieve the lonely. For going out to the movies, I liked Master and Commander.

6. the Triplets of Belleville
Big Fish is great, but if the object is to get your mind off your "non-existent love life", it might not fit the bill.

Return of the King is an obvious choice, even if you've already seen it...good n'long too- BUT there are still love story-lines involved, and if you haven't been following the trilogy you may not be as interested.

Lost in Translation i still don't know what all the hoopla about it is all about- it's a renter.

Triplets of Belleville that's the one we're headed to this weekend.

10. I second TRIPLETS
TRIPLETS is wonderful. If it's playing, be sure to see it.

I'm going to catch DREAMERS this weekend; amazingly, it's playing right in my home town.

14. Triplets is great
I was just recommending that to dolo amber over on her thread. Very funny and bizarre (in a good way).
