Is this just another dumbass urban legend?
"FW:new way to smoke crack
Date: Wed, 12 Mar 2008 23:19:07 -0400

A couple of days ago I went into get a gas receipt from the cashier because the fricking outside printer
was out of paper. A young lady in front of me bought a cigar for a dollar and walked out. Crack addicts have learned to break the cigars off and use them to smoke the crack so they won't get caught with paraphanalia. The convenience stores caught on to this quick. Next time you're in one, look at the variety of cigars now displayed at the cash register. "

Anybody else get this thing?

1. I have never heard of them being used for crack
but for years they have been using 'blunts' to smoke weed. They roll them till all the tobacco falls out and then refill them with marijuana.

I managed convenience stores for 12 years and was amazed to learn how much of the stuff I was selling every day was being used to smoke crack. The single cigars in the glass tubes, where the cigar was discarded and the tube used to smoke crack. I used to go through a box of copper pot scrubbers every couple of days until I learned what they were being used for, then I stopped stocking them.

I have nothing against smoking a little herb, but crack is a whole different story. Why convenience stores cater to the very clientele that will later come back and pull a gun on their clerks is beyond me.

It is all about money, I guess. Luckily I was manager of a store where I had complete say so in what was stocked.

3. Used for filters in crack pipes.
I never asked what they were for, until I wondered about this little boy of about six or seven years who would come into the store two or three times a day and buy one. One day I said to him, "your mom must scrub a lot of pots" and the boy looked so confused I started wondering and asked around. My grocery distributor filled me in. I was really mad at him, because he was the one who tagged my shelf for them in my original grocery set.

4. I had no idea...
How incredibly sad that she would send her kid to buy her paraphenalia. I hope you promptly kicked that distributer's ass.
