2. I had a car hauled from FL to MA once. $500 for the one way trip.
That was quite some time ago, though.

Dunno if that helps you at all. It's only a 1300 mile trip.

4. You might have something there
a '92 Civic out here in good condition, according to a quick scan of Craigslist , runs about 2800-4500 depending on mileage etc.
