1. I think he wants to be Walter Winchell or something.
Or maybe he fancies himself right out of "The Front Page".

I think he gives new meaning to the word "dorky" wearing it.

3. I wonder where the "Press" label is on it?
Yes, he's well on his way to being a modern day Winchell, by report on sex and drugs constantly.

6. The first time I saw him in that hat I thought "What a schmuck"
You know he had a show on Fox News when it first started. Darkly painted with the old fan blowing on his desk and a neon light just outside the fake window.

8. To quote Colin Powell..."Let's not go there"...
I'm a gay man, of course. And while there are things that are quite titillating, THAT imagery is not one of them.

10. Hi. I'm Harley Earl.
And I can kick this panty-waist's perfumed ass from here to Dearborn.

Yeah, I'm a cranky S-O-B. If you'd been dead for 50 years, you'd be cranky, too. No food, no booze, no broads. Haven't even been to a horserace! Now get me a porterhouse steak, done rare, a Tom Collins and a pack of Luckies. I've got some kickin' to do!

Uh, Mr. BKL, that's not exactly the ad campaign the company had in mind.

11. The hat makes the man...
No one wears a hat now. It might have been better then. Is that message? When I was 15 I bought a cowboy hat. It was cool for maybe 6 months. Now men pull the hat for a role in a movie. Women hardly ever wear them except in really high class churches.
Understand that its hats, not the overpriced handouts at Caterpillar. Thats where it started. Now every damn fool has a cap plastered with icons officially sponsored by the highest bidder. Made in sweat shops, somewhere when and where the workers suffer has no importance for the consumer.

13. a dork in a stupid hat
He belongs back in his basement bachelor apartment. He Spouts his National Enquirer bullshit and is laughably refered to as a journalist by the RW media. Walter Winchell was more than a hat with a pissy attitude and politically whorish ideas.

15. I don't believe that it's actually a fedora
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 11:03 AM by MrsMatt
Fedoras have larger brims, and are not typically constructed of straw. Unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly WHAT the name of the hat is - I can't find MrMatt's resource book (he's a costume designer, and is particularily fond of hats - he wears a black fedora on occasion, and it looks mighty fine on him).

edited for typo

17. Now, now, let's not blame the hat
I personally own 3 fedora's and they really do look sharp when I wear them.

Unfortunately, hats don't get the right of refusal when it comes to whose head they will spend their lives on. Pity. 'Cause I'm feelin' a bit sorry for that hat's particular lot in life.

Sittin' on top of an idiot.

18. Thank you
Because I wear a fedora as well.

He's an idiot. Fedoras are cool. Fedoras cannot, however, make an idiot cool.

Just that Drudge looks like an ass, and I think it's cute how he thinks he's like a real live newsman or something.

21. I Didn't Know A Guy Could Look Uncool In A Fedora
But, somehow Matt pulls it off. Every time i wear mine, every time i see someone with one, i think "That's a cool look!"

Then, i see Drudge. That guy could ruin a one person party.
