PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DEAL WITH NEGATIVITY
I've already asked to be moved or to have her moved - won't happen

I don't have headphones here - but I will tomorrow

I tried talking to Cow-Irker about it once and got shit all over, and told to mind my own business (!!)

I can't shut it out. I don't take Mother's Little Helper

Cow-Irker will. Not. Stop.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

1. I don't know if this would help
There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
Looked in the mirror and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

Well,” she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today?”
So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

“H-M-M,” she said, “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today?”
So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.

“Well,” she said, “today I’m going to wear my hair in a pony tail.”
So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.

“YEA!” she exclaimed, “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

4. And management hasn't been responsive?
Are there any fellow cube dwellers you're friendly with who maybe might be immune to hearing this crap. Maybe management would be receptive to moving you if you had a volunteer to switch with?

What does your employee manual say about the right to work in a non hostile environment?

7. hostile environment? that is an excellent question
i'll look it up

i've talked to management twice already. "we know she's difficult but there's nothing we can do." bs. move her! i can't move because i'm five feet from my boss's office. hers are on the other side of the floor. but if she leaves here, she becomes someone else's problem. jesus h. christ on a crutch, how did i get to be so lucky?

will let you know what the manual says.

6. There is no way to deal with it
No matter what, it won't turn out well. There is nothing you can do. It's hopeless.

Seriously, it sounds like the situation sux. I hope the headphones help, at least!

Good luck.
