what's up with this quizno's sub commercial?

little scuzzy, mangy rats playing guitar and singing some annoying quizno's song. what about this commercial would ever make me want to eat at quizno's? when i see a quizno's store now i can only think of those gross little rats.

25. Our local news team talked to the creator

He said they are some sort of South American monkey. Our news guy said, "I can imagine the meeting. Here's the story board - we're going to have some kind of nondescript critter with a weird smile and pulsating eyes singing about subs." The creator said, "Yeah, it was pretty much just like that."

As far as commercials go (I hate 'em), this Quizno's one is one I rather like... very, very odd...

17. One of my daughters works at the Quizno's here in town...

I made the mistake of asking what it was all about, it is just to catch your attention, and that it does.

But the real horror was, I found myself taking care of my grandson today, and I was actually saying, "They got a Pepper Bar", in the same voice as the commercial. Stuck with me all day! Guess it got my attention!

Grandson only 5 Mo's old, and this is what he'll remember me for, oh shit.

19. those things are EVIL

I am not a religous man but I think I can spot pure EVIL when I see it. The first time I saw them, I had just came home after a long night a drinking. My enebriated self turned on the television and the first thing I saw were those rats/hampsters. Scared me half to death. Get a very uneasy feeling everytime I see one of those commercials. BTW, I hated Quiznos way before these rats came on the tele.

Whether or not you like the commercial, it gets your attention and name recogition. Which is exactly what it is supposed to do.
