Web Sites where I can sign up to raise funds?

Yesterday Lioness and Midlo gave me some good options that I will pursue. But I still want to know if there are any sites where people can go to donate to my cause.

I need to raise some money so I can PAY someone to do a big feral cat trapping at my neighbor's house. No one will volunteer; I have asked so many people, so many organizations. Maybe if I offer pay them -- and of course I will pay the vet fees; that was my plan all along -- I can get someone to do it.

I need to raise a set amount of money, it's a one-time thing (please god let it be a one-time thing), it's a non-profit thing, and it will help my neighborhood and will reduce the cat population.

So: are there any fund raising sites?

Lioness said PayPal, but I don't see any fund raising choices there.

1. I think you can set up a donation thing similar to Paypal through Amazon.com

I know she has been involved in animal rescue, but I don't to know to what extent.

Our neighbor who has a farm apparently has 70 cats. He is a crazy farmer and just doesn't give a sh!t. Who can I call? The cats run around on our property too. Can I call county animal control or ASPCA?

5. you can set up a DONATE button on paypal. thomcat did it for his fundraiser.

not sure about what you might need / require, but check out this online resource: http://foundationcenter.org/ I'm in the early stages of research myself (on a different issue) and this site looks to be quite helpful.

Alley Cat Allies wouldn't help you?

As madinmaryland suggested, I've done some feral cat work, but not to the extent you have - and I've funded everything myself so far, as well.

7. Alley Cat Allies didn't even respond to me when I asked for

volunteers. I know they're busy, but god damnit, I am a monthly donor! I have worked with them on trappings! I'm unhappy w/ ACA.

Thanks for the tip. One of the things Midlo suggested was to request a small grant from the Doris Day Foundation and like non-profits. I'm exploring that, too.
