Every Sunday we'd get the newspaper just for the coupons (oh god I'm scarred from the punishment if I picked one of the two local papers if they did not have the regular two books of coupons when the other actually did have them). My mom every Sunday would spend 30 minutes clipping them, sorting them, and putting them in their respective envelopes (she had them for each department of the store).
Every week we'd hit up both Ralphs and Vons because they were the two supermarkets that doubled coupons, and we would hit up the coupon bargains at both stores. Every week we would save about 55-65% of our bill.
We would shop at a separate market for produce though. We would either go to Jons in Winnetka, Val-U Plus in Canoga Park, or Galleria in Northridge.
