Such promise in the bed

Chaste when made

The bedspread tidy and smooth

The pillows covered to keep their secrets

Everything tucked in


Unmade, the story’s different

Has the promise been kept?


Was there pleasure?

And sharing? You’ll need lots of that...

Laughter too

But not from tickling

But from fingers stroking all those lively nerves


Limbs akimbo

Mouths for kissing

Dark wet places for pleasuring


Sharing is the highest joy

You’ll keep the promise

And it will keep you whole.
