Any Comments on last night's West Wing?
I am about to quit watching. It is getting a severe right-wing tilt IMHO. They are constantly justifying actions that we here are opposed to. We have lost a great show and it makes me sad. Last night they had the US ready to bomb Iran for supposedly testing a nuke. Their snide little comments were straight out of GOP bully book. Like the one when asked what if Iran retaliated for our attack. "They will regret it" Boy do we feel big and tough now?

1. I noticed that too
And the show has really jumped the shark -- we got the 1st season on DVD and you can really see how good it was and how crappy it is now.

3. Aaron Sorkin isn't involved anymore is he?
Didn't he pack it in after his bust or something last year and shortly after that there was something in the entertainment news about them tilting to the right more?

Maybe I'm just delusional!

5. He left at the end of last season, with two subsequent episodes
already written. Those were the first two of this season. It was unrelated to his bust. Thomas Schlamme also left at the same time. Both stated 'artistic differences,' but I suspect philosophical/political differences may be more accurate.

4. although, it did imply that if Bartlet acted like Bush ...
... he would have bombed Iran when they were totally innocent -- since it was somebody else's bomb. (I suspect a lot of us here believe that the Shrub would be screaming to attack Iran this instant.) This may have been the intention of the writers -- Leo and Co. come off looking like a bunch of prejudiced thugs, and the Iranian ambassador appears dignified and reasonable in comparison.
