If so, what is it like?

Do you feel that you really live in Michigan?

Do you identify more closely with Michigan or Wisconsin?

Why is it part of Michigan?

Are you insulted when children draw maps of Michigan and forget to include you?

not getting Toledo. We almost went to war over it!

3. I still think we(although I live in WI, I still consider myself an Ohioan)
should've kicked your asses!

Oh well, I suppose Woody Hayes fought that war for us 150 years later....

2. Yoopers are Yoopers.
I never thought of them as Michiganders OR Wisconsinites.

More like Canada's idiot stepchildren.

(note to Yoopers: I KEED! I'm just playing with you!)

5. Yoopers..
Tend to identify more with Wisconsin than Michigan. Most of the sports teams they tend to root for are Wisconsin teams, with one big exception, Yoopers tend to be really big Red Wings fans..

11. I'm glad it's part of Michigan
I'm a troll (live below the bridge, in the mitten) but I love visiting the UP. I highly recommend it, it is just beautiful up there. Lake Superior, forests, waterfalls, lighthouses, copper mines, fishing, boating ... so much to do.

If you visit, drive across the Mackinac Bridge. I find it as spectacular a drive as crossing the Golden Gate. Personally, driving across the Mighty Mac has a greater fear factor for me than driving across the Golden Gate. I've done both more than once, and the Mackinaw bridge gets my heart pumping more than the Golden Gate. If you're in the outside lane, that guard rail seems way too low. If you're in the inside lane, I'm always afraid that damn grating is gonna fall through, and me with it. (Remember poor Leslie Pluhar (?) and her Yugo that went over the edge?)
