Woo-hoo! I'm going to the Monet exhibit at the Bellagio today!
I just got tix for the family for the 1PM show.

For those of you who don't know, the Bellagio (on the LV Strip) is presenting an exhibit of 21 paintings by Claude Monet. The paintings are drawn from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Admission is only $12 per for Nevada residents ($15 for non-residents).

The show runs through Sept. 13.

Maybe I'll see some impressionistic BOOBS!!

1. Have fun, but remember the "T" is silent.
Your 'boobs' comment made me thing of "E. Buzz Miller's Guide to Art" on the old SNL...

"Now, what we got here is a pretty decent picture of a naked lady sittin' on a couch. They liked 'em large in those days, and that's okay by me. An'..get this...the guy who did this picture? His name is...'Tit-ian'!"

2. Very nice!
I love Monet. The Chicago Art Institute has quite a permanent collection and in the 1990s they did a special exhibit that was absolutely fabulous.

While you're at the Bellagio, be sure and check out the Chihuly ceiling.

Chihuly's work is pretty amazing as well. I've seen two exhibits featuring his work and I have photos of some of his incredible outdoor installations, but I've never seen any of those.

Have a beautiful day!

3. Love that ceiling.
The wife and I have been there many times (we had her b'day dinner at Le Cirque last July), but this will be a first time for the kids. As you know, kids under 18 aren't allowed in the Bellagio unless they're staying there, or if they're attending a special attraction or going to a restaurant.

My son went to the Picasso museum in Antibes, and we spent some time in the French wing at the Met in NYC, but this should be special - ie: not so big as to be overwhelming.

4. Lucky you!
I've never been to Vegas. I'm dying to go. I don't gamble, but I want to get lost under that ceiling.

Have fun! :hi:
