Man Knocked Unconscious By Ransom Money
<snip>

A TAIWANESE man was knocked out by two bags containing 20 million Taiwan dollars ($US604,230) of ransom money that were tossed down from a highway bridge to waiting kidnappers, it was reported.

Lu Fang-nan, 57, was riding a motorcycle home when relatives of a kidnapped businessman threw the bags of cash off a highway overpass in a Taipei suburb, the United Daily News reported.

The bags knocked out Lu and were immediately picked up by kidnappers waiting nearby, the paper said.

The man regained consciousness a few minutes later and was hospitalised with bruises and a swollen leg.
