I also hate just about anything disco (Ring my Bell in particular comes to mind for some reason) and I really despise that thing by Outkast that is all over the video waves right now, where he is wearing the godawful green and plaid thing? Sucks, man. Really bad.

6. Lee Greenwood
Back after 11 Sep. 01, my daughter had a third grade talent show. We had to sit through so god-damned many off key performances of that song by kids that I had to take aspirin after the show.

20. Seasons in the Sun
"We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun".... GAG x(

And that Limbaugh theme song is actually "My City Was Gone" by The Pretenders. It's a great song.
Writer and lead singer Chrissie Hynde has lived in England since 1973.
"I'm sure if I heard this show," Hynde notes, "it would piss me off, and I would say, get my song off right away."

50. of the above list
proud to be an american makes me the sickest. Mainly because of all its Reagan associations.

But "Seasons in the Sun" is the all-time "it makes my ears bleed" song. As much because of the way it's sung as the song itself.

However ... Terry Jacks eventually became an environmental activist in Canada -- so I think we can forgive him "Seasons."

Y'know ... that "Shannon" song about the dying dog ... that was an ear-bleeder, too.

But I LOVE "Come On, Eileen." Both the original by Dexy's and the ska version by Save Ferris.

32. Texas Ford commercials...the music
The most blatantly annoying hayseed nonsense there is.

I kid you not...

The first time I heard this piece of country fuck nonsense, instead of him singing...

"Chevy, driving Texas!"

I heard, "Chevy, God and Texas..." which makes more sense with all the bleeping neocon assholes down here.

And do you remember that scandal about Bobby Goldsboro ... something about finding child porn in his house (used by his wife in their divorce)? His career never recovered. Don't even know if that stuff was true, or just a specious accusation by his wife.

"See the tree, how big it's grown ..." :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

51. you're right about "billy"
Paper Lace's version of "Billy, Don't be a Hero" is MUCH better than the Bo Donaldson version. Can't help it ... the song is too infectious to be on my annoying list.

I need me a "Paper Lace's Greatest Hits" CD. "Daddy was a cop ... from the east side of Chicago..."

LOVE it!
