I'm currently in Shanghai and I just noticed yesterday that the local Mickey D's has 40% off all their chicken items in honor of the potential global bird flu pandemic.
The local Indian restaurant I went to yesterday were too tactful to refuse to sell me chicken when I ordered it by accident- they just made the dish with lamb instead.
Most restaurants around here are writing off the loss of chicken they've already purchased and refusing to buy any more. Not good old McDonalds though. They should change their slogan to "We're not eating it, you are!"
