Snff.....s s s n n n f f f f ....I smell SNOW!!!
anyone else in the NC area getting ready for the latest round of white winter weather?

2-5" expected by the afternoon tomorrow...oh joy. I love the stuff in fact, it brings the world to a standstill for just a bit, if only everyone would just stay home and enjoy it for the day, make a snowperson, crunch around, feed the birds, listen to the quiet..

have fun if you are here and snowbound.
peace,

It's the smell of God.

4. I think this is one of those southern perfect storms
for our area, moisture from the gulf, frigid air from the north meet.

wonders happen...

7. It's supposed to be a very wet snow
I go to college and teach at one. We are all hoping classes are canceled all around tomorrow. Are you in the Triad area?
If it's real pretty, I'm going to take my camera outside. I have a deer that has lived in the pasture behind my house for three years now and he loves the snow. I hope he will be out in plain view. He looks magnificent when the snow falls.

and just enough in the countryside to have deer and assorted wildlife abound. Hope your classes are canceled too. Good luck with the pictures, post them if you can!

10. I'll post them if the bugger comes out from his hiding place!
He can be very shy. He jumps and runs when the snow falls.
BTW, I live in WS and they are forcasting about 4 inches. Enough to shut the entire town down.

11. I lived there for a few years back a few years ago
used to run a restaurant down Cherry st near the ?mill mall? (name escapes me now..)
Lived out on Alpine dr.
Got the snow dump of the lifetime there moving out one Dec/January, it actually buried my car and made the move take over 3-4 weeks...86/87 i think.

i escaped tho, :D

13. It's Been Snowing In Southern Colorado All Day
It started this morning as I was driving to Colorado Springs - there were two major accidents on I-25 south of teh city that shut it down completely. The detour I had to make ate up aboiut 20 minutes, and I was almost late for a doctor's appointment.

I left work early when they announced that Peterson Air Force Base was closing. (I work for a major defense contractor, and we follow the closings of the closest Air Force facility - in our case Peterson.)

Right now, we have about 4 inches on the ground in Pueblo West - light, fluffy powder.

14. Yech
Here in upstate New York it snows *every goldurned day* in the winter. It's an enormous pain in the ass and makes me seriously consider moving elsewhere.

You can have it--all of it! :)
