2. As the soul degrades

the body follows.

Those of us who are alien
are trapped by the expectations of others;

3. Maybe...after we die...

and our souls unite with the earth, upon which our bodies decay and rot. It's nice to think that our bodies could one day serve as mulch for our souls.
