It was a terrible, terrible night at work.
One of my employees, an 18-year-old kid, was molested in the men's room. Thank God he wasn't physically hurt. I spent the entire evening with the police and on the phone with my corporate office, and trying to calm down the rest of my staff, all while still having to deal with customers.

I'm sick of this whole sick freaking world. (DUers excepted, of course.)

3. I don't want to go into too much detail.
I probably shouldn't even be posting this, but I'm hoping that the anonymity will allow me to let off some stream about this, which I really feel like I need to do.

5. How awful!
I'm glad he had the courage to report it. I hope he'll seek counseling to help cope psychologically.

 to you...for being there...

7. I'll bet this is more common than we realize...
If women are put on trial for not defending themselves, imagine how difficult it would be for a man...

10. The victim should check with the state and see if there is a
Victims' expense recovery pool available. He might be able to get counselling and then be reimbursed for his expenses.

This is real serious stuff. It can cause all kinds of post traumatic stress disorders, physical ailment, loss of trust, difficulties with sexuality, etc.

We do have a name for the perpetrator, but I don't know if he's yet in custody. I talked to my employee today, and he was doing well enough that he tried to come back to work today(!)(we talked him out of it).

He was actually lucky. The perp fondled him, but there was no physical violence. My employee's mistake, and I pass this along to all of you for future reference, is when this jerk was making inappropriate comments on the sales floor, my employee thought that the best thing to do was to hide in the bathroom. He should have called me.

Thank you all for your concern. You guys, as always, are the best.
