13. I've NEVER seen a Jew begging for money

I'm sort of kinda Jewish, too (Jewish father), I've been to the Jewish services, and NEVER, NOT ONCE, was a donation platter passed around. About 10 years ago, when I was courting my Catholic wife and going to her church with her, I noticed they have operatives wandering around with a long-handled money basket twice per service, prodding the parishoners into ponying up a few bucks. I've also popped in to a few Protestant services, and they pass around a bucket for donations. And Bob Forbid, if you tune into TBN during one of their fund raisers (which seems to be most of the time), you'll see some beggarly behavior that would make shirt-off-your-back Jesus Himself blush.

So I can't agree with you there. Jews just don't seem to be into asking strangers for money.
