I am under 200 lbs for the first time in fifteen years...
Ever since I broke my hip back in 1992, my weight has been creeping and then passing over the 200 mark...

By the time I ran for State Senate, I was 235...

After I lost and then started to campaign for others and run another campaign, I ballooned up to 250+...

But I started to push myself about three months ago and have finally dipped under 200....

I really am proud of myself, not eating a lot of crap, well some chocolate that I get on a monthly basis, but that is all...

11. Justr cut out junk and started to exercise...
Twenty minutes of riding a stationary bike and twenty minutes of lifting hand weights...

That was every other day...

On the days I didn't work out with the hand weights, I rode the bike at least thirty minutes...

Every morning, Yogurt, a can of V-8 with horseradish and Hot Sauce and a piece of fruit...

Light lunch and then a salad and a small helping of meat or fish with some carbs...

Stayed under about 1800 calories...

12. I want to get down to about 180...
I should be down lower but my doc says, given my lung dystfunction, I should keep some weight on in case I get real sick again...

8. good for you!
I'm sure I've gained 50+ pounds in the last ten years, and it's a pain trying to just not get fatter. My dad lost about 50 pounds last year, and now he's lighter than me (he'll be 70 this year, and I really think this might be the difference between him being a sick old man and a lively guy for another 10-20 years of my life).

9. right on!
It takes such discipline, it took me 2 years and a LOT of willpower to loose 40-some pounds once after a long hospitalization. That was when I'd just turned 30 so I was starting to plump up anyway so I've had to totally change.. discipline and then some more discipline on that, it's hard but it feels great when you see the difference it's made.

And am on O2 24/7...

17. Congratulations, WC!
I need to get motivated to start exercising again. I was sick for 6 weeks, then was in the hospital, and am just now getting back to feeling normal. Oh, and my rotator cuff is screwed up, so my left shoulder is about useless right now. But now that it is starting to get more warm days, I need to start riding my bike to work again.
