Introducing myself...

Hi! my name is Dave Adams, and I am kind of new to the site, and thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself.
I am a 44 year old single male, living in Highlands Ranch Colorado. I have been a Democrat all of my life, and haven't been this energized about the party since Carter.
I was born in Tennessee, and raised in southeastern Pennsylvania. I have been all over the country, with work and travel. My international travels are limited to Mexico and Canada, but would like to see those places across the ponds. I am in the process of working out the logistics of a summer trip to Alaska.
Being an avid fly fisher, this summer is going to be one for the books!
I am a big Clark supporter, and now that he is out of the race, I once again return to the ranks of the undecideds. I plan on doing research into the other candidates, and will support whoever the nominee happens to be.
I am seriously ABB.
I have a dog, a yellow lab named Emma, who is my little sweetie, and will continue to be as long as I keep feeding her I suppose.
Authors I enjoy include Garrison Keillor, Ernest Hemingway, and John Geirach.
My musical tastes range from classical to bluegrass; my personal favorites are Mary Chapin-Carpenter, Bruce Springsteen, Yo Yo Ma, George Strait, just to name a few.
I find Robin Williams hilarious, as is Chris Rock, Lewis Black, and of course, The Daily Show.
Favorite movies: Field of Dreams, Dogma, Bull Durham, Amelie, and the entire Thin Man series.
Can't think of anything else interesting to tell you, (that of course, assumes that any of the above was interesting) so email me with any questions you might have.
Oh yeah, I'm a freelance editorial cartoonist, currently working on a strip for syndication. I keep forgetting that.
My hobbies include fine art, photography, the aforementioned fly fishing and fly tying.

6. Do you really like the movie versions of The Thin Man?

Maybe its because I read the book first and adore Hammett, but I thought they cleaned it up too much. Althought I think the casting was great.

but it is a rare occasion that a movie actually lives up to a book. I just reconcile them as being two different entities, with positive attributes in both.
And yes, the casting was impeccable! Myrna Loy was the sexiest movie star of her time!

24. Emma was a "free to a good home" puppy...

And there were times when I thought I paid too much. But those days are behind us, (I hope) and if she had the surgery you speak of, I haven't seen evidence of it, or it didn't take.
Every time I try to extract the tennis ball I am successful, but only for a few seconds.
