What's your shoe size?
I used to be a seven but my foot expanded over time and I often have to buy an 8.

So, what's your shoe size and has it stayed the same since you've been an adult?

Now I wear dark shoes, at least. White ones really accentuate the clown effect.

I'm 13 B, just wide enough not to slip out of a medium. My dad got stuck with 14 AAA and insists he's never had a proper fitting shoe in his life.

The Internet has been a godsend for those of us who wear MEN'S sizes.

It's nearly impossible to find decent shoes under a size 6, particularly if your feet are wide.

A lot of shoe manufacturers start their wide sizes at 7. If I wore a 7, I wouldn't need a wide, but I would trip over my toes a lot!

All shoes are bought over the internet. Waste of time trying anything else. Once in a while we even get a clearance sale on the net.

When he was in middle school, he grew three complete shoe sizes in three months. That was like $2 a day just for shoes!

Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 11:10 PM by Beaker
For sneakers, I've found Vans.com to be a great place to buy online, as most of their shoes go to 16- and when they first opened up their internet store, I was just the second person to buy from them online.

For all around selection of large sizes- OddballShoes.com is a fantastic site- They carry all of the over size 13 shoes from most major name shoemakers- even into the 20's in some cases.

If I'm buying leather "dress" shoes or Nike's, neither of which I wear anymore, I need a 17.

70. Shoes:
7 - 7.5, depending on the maker of the shoe. But I can't buy most shoes made for women.

It's 7 WWW; my foot is almost square shaped. Between the wide, wide, wide bottom and the really high arch, I can't get more than a few toes into regular women's shoes. I pay too much money for special sizes, and still have to get shoes that lace, so that I can loosen the part that fits over the top of the arch.

If I can find men's size 6, they fit better. Boys' shoes also fit better, although they aren't as good as mens'.

My shoe wardrobe includes:

canvas sneakers, WWW, in several colors. Can be washed, breathe during scorching desert temps 6 months out of the year, and I wear them under dresses and pants alike. Flat, no platforms.

lace up boots, flat, no heels; some for fashion, some for hiking, some for horsey activities. I have to say, though, that I don't wear my riding boots often. I spend just as much time on my horse in canvas sneakers as I do in boots.

men's bedroom slippers with rubber soles, so that I can wander around in my yard without having to put shoes on. Big enough to slip in and out of without lacing. I've been known to wear them to get-to-gethers at friend's houses, and leave them at the door so I could go barefoot. I have so far never been stopped or stranded while wearing slippers to drive places.

rubber thongs to keep the ground from blistering my feet in hot weather. My favorite pair, bought in Hawaii 5 years ago, just gave up the ghost. Thin, soft rubber, cloth bands. I'm in the market for a new pair.

What you will not find on my feet: heels, pumps, etc.; anything that is uncomfortable, restricts movement, or restricts what surfaces I walk on.
