Well, I didn't win a Grammy.

As some of you may remember, I was nominated for a Grammy in the category for best packaging. I'm a graphic designer, not a musician or a singer.

I knew it was a long shot to win but I couldn't help but get a little hopeful. I was looking forward to having a little gold man with a spade on my mantel. And putting 'Grammy award-winner" on my resume.

Oh, well. It was an honor to be nominated.

PS. I know have a dislike for Ani Difranco (who won). I know it is petty but hey...

9. I didn't get squat. The only reason I knew I received the nomination was

that a list of nominees was printed in the newspaper and friends and family called saying they had seen my name listed.
