Alright people, I have a *seriously* grody question...
My puppy just barfed up some ungodly foamy crap...now he's got MASSIVELY FOUL puke breath. I mean, like you can smell it well in advance of his entering the room. x(

I gave him some puppy biscuits, and a carrot...nada. It's BAD, folks. Any suggestions? I don't really think he's gonna be too down with me shoving a toothbrush in his mouth, although if all else fails...

1. Shelack the puppy
This will seal in any unpleasant oders and convieniantly takes care of shedding issues as well.

"Shelack the puppy"

Use "Spar Varnish"

Stands up to the rigors of the sea.

3. Dilute his waterdish with Listerine :)
Seriously though . . . you can get some special breath freshening stuff at any pet store, but by the time you get there and do that, it may be gone :).

4. Do you have any parsley?
Maybe if you can get him to chew some parsley that would help. If he's puking, you might want to call the vet to make sure he's ok.

5. my dog has a similar problem sometimes
it sounds like bile-backup, can happen when they dont eat enough, they throw up the stomach acid so they dont get ulcers. just make sure they eat well and drink water, also try giving it a mint or something, york's peppermint patties work well with my dog, chewy so they gotta stay in the mouth more than a half second, but not too hard.

if your dog had eaten prior to his vomiting... its somethin else and my solution may not work

7. Man!
It's SERIOUSLY grody, even! :D;)

He hadn't eaten in a couple hours (due to him engaging in his other favorite pastime, :boring:...) but I don't think that's it. He was outside chomping on grass earlier though; isn't that supposed to upset their tummies?

9. Take him to your local PetSmart and have his teeth brushed
They can probably do it for a few bucks (PetCo can do it too).

For $8 I had my cat's ears cleaned and toenails clipped. Well worth it knowing that my cat would torture me to death if I tried it myself. Plus I get to have fun shopping in the Kittie aisle with Abbie and letting the other folks "ooo" and "aaahhh" over him.

16. It's a dog - get over it
If a dog's breath smells really sweet, there's something severely wrong with it, like stomach cancer.

Dog breath is supposed to smell like......dog breath.

18. Doggy breath
We use peppermint candy. Just one. It works wonders for the breath, not to mention the upset tummy issue.

Hope this helps.
