1. You think the simple fact that we feed them regularly would be enough

but NOOOOOooooo.... They have to get all finicky and turn their nose up at the food they ate yesterday. They won't touch the dry food until you give them some of the special, and expensive, food that comes in those silly foil envelopes - hell, they can hear you tearing them when they're fast asleep upstairs.

All I hear is meow, meow, MEOW, MEEEEEE (with an emphasis on the *ME*) OOOOWWWW!
