Jay Leno: "It was this week, last night, in 1789, electors unanimously chose George Washington to be the first president of the United States. Well, it was a lot easier back then because there was no Florida."

saying "Bush's people were debating whether it really was a good idea to let him go on Meet the Press, - but they all agreed it was a helluva lot better than letting him go on Jeopardy."
