I haven't been paying attention...is Justin Timberlake just an idiot?
I don't follow "boy bands" or male musicians who engage in formation dancing. My strongest reaction to Timberlake has been: a) he thinks he's Michael Jackson and b) he certainly does have a way with the ladies (I'd like to cavort on the beach with Cameron Diaz but almost definitely never will).

So is he just a fool? Or does he have anything worthwhile to say or sing?

3. Oh, no. That song of his..."Rock Your Body"....just kicked in.
Please, for the love of God, someone get it out!

:-)

Justin Timberlake is a cute little boy in a boy band. Nothing more than that.

Terry

5. I'll defend him.
I have no problem with him at all. When you compare him with others like Madonna, there's not much difference from an "artistic" standpoint. These people are foremost marketers--of themselves. Some are more successful. Because he's kind of cute, and has at least one song I like, he's OK.

6. I don't know why but he reminds me of
Shrub. I bet their IQ's are about the same (somewhere in the single digits). Yeah, he's the Shrub of the popworld in my mind. No substance. He needs tons of other people around him telling him what to do (and performing on his albums and on stage) in order to have any hope of coming off looking good.

7. In a word,...
...yes!

Justin's future career signature line? Either "Would you like to supersize your order?" or "Did you order this pizza?"

8. usually I despise those types of marketed droids
but oddly enough, he did have (or someone had) the sense to have Arturo Sandoval play with him at the Grammys. It was odd, but good to see some good jazz folks getting more work. And the Foo Fighters had Chick Corea play with them as well. Ordinarily I aviod the Grammys like the plague, but this year there seemed to be less dreck ( there was still plenty. though)and there were actually some interesting combinations, like Earth Wind and Fire, and George Clinton of all people.
